The ACA Standards Accreditation Guide is out and the Evergreen Section will be offering a variety of courses to train and update camp directors on the standards process.

If your camp is scheduled for a visit in 2008, a representative from your camp must attend and complete a Standards or Update Course as described below:

The Standards Course is for camp directors who are new to the accreditation process and have not previously attended a course.

The Experienced Directors and Visitors Course is for camp directors who have been through the accreditation process before and have attended the Basic Standards Course, or for accreditation visitors to become familiar with the revised standards.

The Visitor Update Course is provided in conjunction with the Experienced Director and Visitors Course to prepare visitors to use the new materials and score forms.

Visitors should plan to attend both the Experienced Directors Course and Visitor Update on the same day.

Associate Visitor Course: This two-day course will prepare you to assist in the camp accreditation visit. Learn in detail the role of the Standards Visitor. Understand the standards program’s purpose, background, function, and process. Upon successful completion you will be assigned to visit camps in Summer 2007.

Prerequisite: Successful completion of the Standards Course or Experienced Directors Course.
